HERN now planning production more efficiently

The machine engineering company HERN, a producer of weldments for building and construction machines, is enjoying the benefits of deploying an APS solution of LOGIS into its production planning routine since the start of the year. This is to help HERN achieve a higher level of operational efficiency and customer service.

In 2018, the management of HERN decided to invest into developing its planning process. The LOGIS company was chosen to be the partner for cooperation, as a supplier with a highly specialized focus and numerous references in the field.

Executive and Financial Director of the company, Mr. Roman Vida, commented on choosing the supplier and the course of the project: “LOGIS convinced us during the sale discussions by its professional approach, high level of expertise, by its references and constructive negotiation about the conditions of cooperation. The project itself was executed according to the agreed schedule, and went generally smoothly, without any significant issues or unexpected surprises. It is my experience that there are not many projects in the IT field like that – and this time, not only was the schedule met, but so was the budget.”

“It is still too soon to evaluate the effect of the project results on the individual KPIs. To get to that, it is needed to consistently keep to the generated and continuously updated plan and to respect the implemented process changes in all involved divisions. However, we can already see a clear improvement of the management efficiency, a number of routine operations were automated and we are now creating the plan with a much higher level of detail,” added the financial director.
